Anti-Rust Mossel Bay (Reg 1987/002635/23) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what your rights are under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are

What we collect

We collect only what you give us. If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, that means your name, contact number and whatever you tell us about your vehicle. If you bring a vehicle in, we keep a service record — vehicle details, treatment applied, and dates — because the warranty depends on it.

This website does not use contact forms and does not ask you to create an account.

Why we hold it

To quote on work, to carry out work you have asked for, to honour warranty and annual inspection obligations, and to keep the accounting records the law requires us to keep.

Who we share it with

Nobody, except where we are legally obliged to, or where a service provider needs it to do something you have asked for. We do not sell personal information.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. It collects anonymised usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location. It does not tell us who you are. You can opt out via the cookie banner or your browser settings — see our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

Service and warranty records are kept for as long as the warranty is active, since a transferable lifetime warranty is meaningless without them. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are clearly stale.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email colin@antirust.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable period.
